COVID19: How Long & McQuade is Taking Care of our Staff and Customers

Long & McQuade is committed to the safe operation of our stores at all times for our staff and customers. The following summary covers all areas of our operation. Specific provincial plans are also available at each location.
 
IN STORE

CURBSIDE PICKUP

  • We are still offering no-contact, curbside service at all of our locations.
  • Please call or email the store in advance to arrange your purchase, or use the web store “Pick up in Store” function.
  • Some locations are offering local delivery. Check with the store near you for availability.  

WEB STORE
You can always shop in our web store, and have your items shipped directly to you.

All locations are accepting warranty repairs and most locations are accepting non-warranty repairs. Contact your local store directly for more information.


OUR IN-STORE SAFETY MEASURES

  1. Pre-Screening Tool
    1. Self-assessment instructions will be displayed at staff and customer entrances along with a hand sanitizer station and instructions on physical distancing. We will ensure that staff are self-assessing before the beginning of each shift.
    2. Customers who are either symptomatic, and/or have been advised by Public Health to self-isolate, should remain home.
       
  2. Facilitating Personal Hygiene
    We will ensure enabling of thorough and frequent hand hygiene for customers and staff by frequent reminders, sign posting and ensuring that necessary supplies are provided.  Handwashing requires frequent and thorough washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or minimum 60% alcohol hand sanitizer.
     
  3. Physical Distancing
    1. Staff and customers will be instructed to maintain a minimum of 2 metres between themselves and others at all times. We will be reducing the number of customers allowed in our stores at one time in order to maintain physical distancing.
    2. Store layout will be altered to assist with physical distancing requirements.
       
  4. Cleaning and Disinfection Procedures
    Countertops, furniture, doors, phones, cashier equipment, light switches, and public washrooms will be disinfected frequently throughout the day. Stores will be provided with detailed cleaning instructions.
     
  5. Handling of Products
    1. Handling of products will be limited.
    2. Rental products will be cleaned before being rented. Stores will be provided with detailed instructions for cleaning products.
