He made his way into the arts by studying with Orchestra London’s very own Kelly Eydt where he learned the rudiments and most of his musical background. After getting a fewyears under his fingers, he then joined the London Youth Symphony where he gained a few years of classical ensemble experience with his violin skills. At the same time, further developed his musical education at the St. Mary’s Choir and Orchestra School. This lead to him writing and playing music recreationally with a few freelance ensembles and friends, where he then learned to branch out to several different musical genres and ways of thinking. After completing Orchestral/Choral programs at school (violin and viola) through grades 5-12, he studied piano with Sharon Bee and continued advanced violin repertoire endeavors with Mary-Elizabeth Brown of Orchestra London. These studies spurred him towards auditioning for and completing university studies of music composition and contemporary improvisation at Wilfrid Laurier University under Jeremy Bell (DMA) of the Penderecki String Quartet, Kathryn Ladano (PhD) of Stealth and Glenn Buhr (PhD). WLU also provided the opportunity to study advanced string pedagogy through the Laurier String Academy and systems developed by Suzuki and Mimi Zweig. During and subsequent to his university career, Jeffery made a point of playing with a number of different bands playing a variety of instruments, such as the guitar, drums, bass and different electronic interfaces.
