I use this and a DT50K with a DTX Multi 12 as part of my acoustic kit (hybrid drumming). It was easy to attach this to the drum and it is just as easy to take it off. Great for gigs. It was plug and play with the DTX module. I played with the setting a little bit to increase the sensitivity but I have had no issues with cross-talk from the high tom which is only an inch away. I get a really nice dynamic range from this unit and good separation between the dual sensors. I really like the way this trigger looks. It just blends right into the rest of the chrome around my kit. The housing is heavy and solid. It feels like a slightly oversized drug lug. I have had this on the kit for a month and have had no issues with it moving around, coming off, or rattling. I find that it muffles the snare very little. The actual trigger part that touches the head is small and smooth, so I can play with brushes without getting caught up. While legato brush strokes do not trigger the unit, it is sensitive enough to trigger with a brush kit. I play with sticks mostly and this unit on my snare triggers the module almost as reliably and dynamically as a Yamaha 3 zone snare pad. This trigger gets a little bit machine-gun with very fast playing. This trigger has really opened up new creative possibilities. Simple things like layering a tambourine, a shaker, or reverb on the snare for a back-beat sound nice. Having a trigger on both the snare and kick allows for very realistic and musical percussion accompaniment, for example a low conga or tumba sound on the kick with a high conga mute or slap on the snare. DTX Multi 12 allows for up to four note sequences per pad. So you can get a sequence on the kick and another on the snare. This allows me to play melodies or percussion lines between my hands and feet. It sounds very realistic. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from band members and the audience.
