ProMark PMJ Milt Jackson signature vibraphone mallets were designed by one of the premier jazz musicians, Milt "Bags" Jackson. The PMJ is a an over-sized mallet that has a warm tone and very little attack to the bar. It features a large, red cord wrapped head on a rattan handle.

These mallets are quite large and have a lot of weight to them. If you have anything loose on your vibes or marimba they will rattle with these. These mallets work really on the mid c down on the vibes as they tend to be quite dead higher up. The shaft of the mallets are very short making four mallet playing quite difficult. On the low octave of a 5 octave marimba they have a really cool warm tone. I recommend buying stefon harris mallets over these
