Of all the guitar styles in the world, I never wanted a hollow-body. Not just that, but I sure wouldn't be caught dead with a WHITE guitar with GOLD hardware! I'm no cowboy! However when I plugged my MXR distortion pedal in along with it, I was absolutely floored! I can't believe I've been missing out for so long! Billy Duffy on his Falcon! The added resonance smoothes out and balances the distortion with warmth and more meat. It's the meat-lovers pizza of the guitar world. Planning on purchasing my 3rd hollow Gretsch shortly. This guitar is great.

Great Gretsch for the money. Improved Electromatic that finally does not feel and sound cheap. Bigsby a bit stiff and pickups not as bright as the ones in my 6120. Might get tvjones in the future. Craftsmanship is flawless and the fiddle is stunningly beautiful. I am now the king of bling. I call it "the poor man's White Falcon"

I own about 18 guitars. They are all probably valued at less than $2000.00 each. Most are between $500.00 to a $1000.00. I like changing pickups on guitars and consider this a bit of a hobby as well as the fact that I thoughoughly enjoy playing. Mostly Rock'n Roll. It has a nice rockabilly sound, but the grungier sounds of hard rock come through really well. To be technical, I would say that the action on this guitar is great! I am not a lead guitarist, but when I do play lead it really stands out. Being a hollow body it does have distortion issues the same as all hollow bodies but, if controlled well, the sound stands out. It even stays in tune rather well. It is a hot guitar! Even looks good. Obviously, that's why I bought it. Came well set up out of the box and have had no issues with it. I bought it a year ago. Really a fantastic value for the money. I would recommend it any day of the week.
