I have played it with my electric and my acoustic, better on the electric for some sounds, but fully responsive and clear sound. Plucking provides for one type of sound while strumming still gives a clean piano style sound. Great fun and saves me treking around a synth for a couple of fill in sounds. I am buying the MEL 9 next to add horns and strings. The reason for the 3 on value is I think it is a bit expensive compared to other pedals but not too bad.
