Traynor Block12 - 200 Watt Combo Keyboard Amp
The Traynor Block12 keyboard combo amplifier delivers 200 Watts of clean power into a specially optimized 12-inch speaker/horn combination.
Four input channels allow direct connection to stereo keyboards, laptops, electronic drums, sound modules and microphones, making it the most compact mixer/speaker solution in the Traynor line. A solid plywood cabinet construction, black carpet covering, and a curved, perforated all-metal grille ensure unmatched long-term reliability. Integrated standmount adaptor allows the Block12 to be used on a standard speaker stand for added versatility.

I had initially rented this amp when they first came out and ended up buying it. This amp replaced a K4 which I wasn't happy with. I was also looking for something lighter. I also play guitar and lap steel and everything needs to run through one amp. After having this amp many years and lots of gigs I absolutely love it. It sounds great with my keyboards and guitars, is lightweight and has never let me down. The only comment I'll echo that I've seen in other reviews is for a 200w amp it's not as loud as others I've used that have been less powered. It's been manageable though. If anything happened to it I wouldn't even think twice about looking for an alternate. I'd get another Bloc12

Product ExperienceI've tried it

Just got this unit (renting from L&M) but after two days of testing I'm fairly certain I'll end up buying. Haven't gigged with it yet, that's coming up very shortly, but I've been wanting to scale back. I'm 66 and I also play in a long established rock band. I was using, and was for the most part pretty happy with my Fender 410. It was able to handle all the highs & lows needed. from bells to growling synth., but the weight was beginning to become an issue, which is why I've opted for the Block 12. I'm impressed with the clarity along with the lighter weight. The horn & 12" crossover is seamless. I also play guitar (currently only on about 4 or 5 songs, so I'm hopefully able to eliminate bringing along a second amp for guitar. I use the Triton Extreme 61 which gives me everything I need. I'm also able to utilize, in conjunction with a 4 to 1 passive mixer, my GT8, giving me the effects I need for any guitar work and the volume control of that unit for both guitar and primarily keys. No buzz, no unwanted noise whatsoever. I've only given this the rating I did because I have yet to use it throughout a 3 to 4 hour gig, but I'm fairly confident she'll give me what I need. If not, I'll be sure to let you know.

I love this particular amp for the fact that it is lightweight with no compromise on volume or sound. I have recently downsized all my gear to lightweight gear. I use the Yamaha Mox6 keyboard (15 lbs) with this amp and it gives me everything I need. I even went to a lightweight keyboard stand. I'm 57 years old and play in a very accomplished 5 pc Classic Rock band with a great sound. I'm playing 7 gigs this month alone (june 2017) and have a full time job, so I don't want to be hauling heavy gear around. So trust me, buy this amp, you will not be disappointed.
Cheers, Jimmy.
