Great sound, great price for a simple, compact mixer. Unfortunately, the Main Out seems to have some sort of flaw. I've had two of them die in the last two years. Will be looking at a different manufacturer.

I use this as my in ear monitor interface when playing drums live. It works great and does everything I need it to do. Either run a dedicated monitor mix from the board or simply daisy chain a feed from the floor monitors and you get a great adjustable level. I had to buy a 1/4" to 1/8" inch adapter to plug in a set of shure215 noise cancelling in ear headphones and with the extra inputs I can connect my dr. Beat metronome for a click track or run a designated bass guitar feed. All in I think I spent about $300 to get a fully functional in-ear system for playing live and it works great. It's great to get rid of a floor monitor which creates extra stage noise that gets picked up by the stage mics and bounces off the walls. Reducing the number of wedge floor monitors will always improve and clean up your mix. The quality of what you can hear using a system like this is also way better than relying on a wedge monitor. Great product at a great price!

I have the older version, VLZ3 and it's excellent. Very transparent, doesn't add any colouration to the mix. I use it as a accordion/keyboard mixer and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a small format mixer! The price is right too!
