Since 1989, F. Loree has offered a Masterpiece. The combination of musicality, reliability and beauty come together to fabricate "Le Royal". Among the pieces of Grenadilla wood with fine and homogeneous grain selected by F.Loree for its instruments, only those with the most beautiful aspects are used for the manufacturing of the Royal model. The instrument appeals to those looking for a darker and rounder tone given by thicker wood. Stricter jointing tolerances and the multiplication of tests throughout the production stages lead to an improvement of the legendary reliability of the F. Loree mechanism.

Founded in 1881, F. Loree is the oldest firm specialized in Oboe manufacture. By maintaining both traditional experience of manufacturing and modern expertise, the firm managed by Alain de Gourdon, continues to innovate in order to achieve the complete satisfaction of its worldwide clientele of performing artists.

The de Gourdon firm produces the complete range of professional Oboes: Oboes, Oboes d'Amore, English Horns, Bass Oboes and Piccolo Oboes under the brand F. Loree, as well as Cabart student models.
All instruments are completely manufactured in the Magnanville factory (near Mantes, France), which provides the most modern means of production (digital machine-turned and milling machine), even if the finishing of each instrument remains traditional. The last tests, tuning adjustments, and verifications of each instrument are realized in their Paris workshop.
