Just purchase the analog drum dial a few days ago and I must say I'm very impressed. Watch the youtube videos for the drum dial because you don't tune every drum the exact same way (snare-side head you have to account for the snare bed). After watching these videos you will be able to get the tension of your lugs and the spaces in between very even. Love this product.

You need to use a little common sense and know how to tune a drum set. The drum dial is great because once you know what settings are good for your kit you can just write them down and never have to tune by ear again. Before I purchased the drum dial I never got my drums to sound as good as they do now. Instead of spending over an hour trying to find the perfect tone I just put in my usual numbers on the drum dial and have it tuned up perfectly within a half hour.

I bought this to tune my nephew’s drum set. And now it sounds like it’s ready for some serious recording or even a large gig. I recorded it with a Nokia N5530 and it sounded crisp, thick and heavy. I won’t hesitate to buy another one for spare. Thank you Long & McQuade!
