Take out the main chip and re-seat it. Don't just push down on it as that will not fix the issue. Bought mine used for $275 probably because of this issue .. a steal of a deal.

This product has everything I am looking for and sounds great when it is not freezing up and completely cutting your sound out. Found this out halfway through the first gig with it - all of a sudden my guitar cut out completely. Took me a few minutes to decipher that it was the G Major 2. Restarted it, and everything was back to normal - for 10 minutes before it happened again. Found this post on the TC Electronic forum after Googling my symptoms:

It appears that this has been an issue for some time and has not been addressed as I just purchased this unit in February of 2017.
