RATH R4F

Online

Michael Rath trombones have earned their reputation for excellence - in concept, design and the quality of their construction. All of this simply equals excellence in performance. Widely acknowledged as being amongst the best instruments currently available, some of the world's leading performers choose to play a Michael Rath trombone. From orchestras and opera houses, Broadway to the West End, film and television studios, to pop and commercial groups, brass bands, wind bands, jazz, big bands, funk groups, and so many other genres and ensembles, instruments made by Michael Rath are found in almost every conceivable musical situation requiring a trombone.

The R4F features the Hagmann valve, which is designed to be as "transparent" as possible, so that you shouldn't notice a difference in sound or response when using the valve. The R4F is modular by design, as are all Rath instruments, so that you can remove the valve section and replace it with an optional detachable gooseneck and balance weight, effectively turning it into a straight tenor trombone.

Specifications:

In the last 40 years I have owned and played over 100 different trombones. My Rath Trombones are my favourite horns ( R4F, R12, R2 ). The quality, sound, articulation, intonation and overall playability makes them sought after by professional orchestras worldwide. I have play many pro trombone models made by Yamaha Xeno, Edwards , Williams, King, Bach, Shires, Getzen, Olds, Conn, and Kanstul and like the Rath trombones the best. Great investment for a lifetime of playing.
