With a sound that lies between the mellow tone of mahogany and the brightness of maple, red wild cherry offers just the right amount of contrast to the solid cedar top. Delivering excellent projection and a true full sound. A great series of guitars for the gigging musician. Being CW models, they offer playability all the way up the fingerboard. They are also equipped with B-Band A3T electronic systems with undersaddle transducers and built in chromatic tuners.

Specs:
• Back & Sides: Red Wild Cherry
• Top: Cedar (Select Pressure Tested Solid Top)
• Fingerboard & Bridge: Rosewood
• Finish: Semi-Gloss Custom Polished Finish with Gloss Top
• Tusq nut & saddle by Graphtech
• Includes B-Band A3T electronics and gig bag

They've been making this model for a while. I like the guitar very much and usually play it unplugged where it has a nice bright but warm sound. I am not thrilled with the pick-up sound (which lowered my rating score) but they may have improved the electronics over the years. I lowered the bridge slightly and put 11's on it and it has very nice action. I play it every day. My favourite guitar.

I was hesitant to try this guitar out since it had a cedar top. My first guitar was a cedar top and it just was too muddy. But this one really sings. Tried this one and the spruce top and I chose this guitar because it came with a nice gig bag and it was gloss top. Both had a bright sound though the spruce top was a tad brighter. This guitar sounds good easily beats out sub $1000 brand name guitars. The aren't quite as good as the solid wood big names like a lot of reviews say but simon and patrick and other godin brands hold their own in the sub $1000 category.
