L&M were amazing as usual. What a guitar ! I adjusted the action as it was a bit on the high side for my playing style. A couple of the open style tuner arms were loose...not sure how to fix that...was probably on the shelf a long time and lots of people played it so...records great both with pickup and mic. Currently using Elixir 12-53s 80/20 but will replace with Elixir Phosphur Bronze soon. Should give a little more bass. Intonation is bang on and will replace bridge pins. One would have thought on a $1500 dollar guitar they would have skipped the crappy plastic ones, however not a deal killer. Nut and bridge are fine. Neck and frets are flawless and once strings lowered leads and sliding are smooth. Very plain looking (which I prefer) however flawless build quality and extremely solid in feel and comfort. When I checked the serial number it was made in May of ‘19 in Taiwan, however all print ads and everywhere states China, so confused on that as the search was specific. Small point though as this thing absolutely is an incredible instrument. I lucked out a couple of weeks ago and one was available so I ordered it and it arrived in two days !! Been a long time customer of L&M and will continue to be. They have their own in house financing so if you pay your bill and equipment off, you can continue to get great products. Spencer was thorough and efficient. Guitar arrived, loosened strings and extremely well packaged.

This Guitar simply put is amazing. I own two other Yamaha Acoustics: LS16 and CSF3M. Yamaha are the best value guitars for the money and their high end acoustics rival anyone. Yamaha does not get the respect they deserve but I guess that is a good thing for “in the know” consumers. Keep up the great work Yamaha.

I recently purchased this guitar. I have two other yamaha acoustics(LSTA, A5R)plus some other high end acoustics. The FGX3 has a great even tone, depth, and volume. Sounds excellent acoustically and the pickup system is also excellent. A beautiful neck, great action and comfort. Vintage appeal. Stands up to all my high end acoustics easily.
