A rich-grained mahogany top paired with Tasmanian blackwood back and sides give Taylor's medium-size Grand Auditorium body plenty of tonal and visual character. The clear, punchy midrange behaves well in a mix with other instruments, and delivers the kind of musical versatility that makes this a reliable guitar in different playing scenarios. Neo-traditional appointments complement mahogany's dark, vintage looks, including a shaded edgeburst top and all-satin finish. The guitar comes equipped with Expression System 2 electronics for a dynamic amplified acoustic sound.

Absolutely love my 324e. I bought this guitar to be my "grow old with me" guitar. It's a tonal beast, especially with open tunings. I chose this one over a 414ce-R deluxe because of it's tonal qualities. Lots of growl and punch when played with a heavier approach, but warm and woody when played lightly. I've played 3 v-class models Taylors so far (including this one) and they all had incredible sustain and great volume. I was never a fan of sunburst stained guitars until I saw this "edgeburst" style. The simple/non-flashy ascetics on top of it give it a nice retro look. The satin finish also gives a nice "old" look to it, and just feels awesome to hold. Tested it out pulled in as well through a Fishman Loudbox Mini and it sounded great. First time trying the Taylor expression system. It retained most of the acoustic tonal qualities I liked, almost like it was mic'd.
