JAM Highlights
PureDIGITAL instrument connection for pristine sound quality
Designed specifically for electric guitar and bass
No configuration, just plug in and play
Easily adjust input levels for any instrument
Multicolor LED for status indication and input level monitoring
Made for GarageBand, Logic, and MainStage

Ready to rock Status and level indication
Its easy to tell if JAM is connected properly by the status LED on the top panel. If its green, you are ready to rock and the light becomes your input level indicator. If it turns red, you are rocking too hard and you need to turn your gain down with the control knob.

Crank it up and dial it in with easy level control
JAM features an input gain control knob. This rotary style wheel is conveniently located on the side of JAM for easy thumb access and allows you to dial in the level of your guitar without accessing software.

I bought this for use with my iPad. After finding that the iRig had all kinds of sound leakage when doing overdubs, I realized that the Jam, going through the dock connector, rather than the headphone/mic interface is the way to go. It hasn't let me down. It's lightweight, and does what it's made to do!

Bought this yesterday, to use with my MacBook via GarageBand '11. It comes with 2 cables: one for iPod/iPhone, the other cable for USB to connect to your MacBook. Was previously using mic input, and feedback was unbearable. Once I got the Apogee, feedback was gone! Absolutely no latency either (which I was worried about). The unit features a volume to prevent input signal clipped (if led turns orange, adjust the dial to a lower setting). I use distortion pedals into this unit with, and sounds great - the unit doesn't recognize distortion as clipping. Great unit for $99, if all you need to do is record guitar and do not need (or already own) a good quality USB mic.
