The S&P Songsmith delivers incredible value, impeccable craftsmanship and a sound that will inspire players and fledgling songwriters to get that tune inside of their heads out to the masses.

The Songsmiths feature wild cherry back and sides along with Select Pressure Tested solid spruce tops delivering a very responsive and well balanced sound. The procedure of pressure testing each top insures that only the best quality tops will be chosen for their high level of stiffness and rigidity, which translates to an optimal level of harmonic vibration in the top. The comfortable necks on the Songsmiths are made from silver leaf maple and feature the new Integrated Set neck system, which adds increased stability through varying changes in climate. Other features include the vintage appeal of a semi-gloss varnish burst finish, contoured headstock, cream double binding, a double function truss rod and Tusq nuts and fully compensated saddles.

I have been buying and returning guitars for quite some time because they just do not feel right so i finally went for it today and its awesome, it comes with low action so no need for a set up sounds amazing very responsive. My only tiny issue is i am not a fan of the strings so i will be changing those in a few days I also got a really nice case for a good deal you will not find a better guitar in this price range i really love the rustic look of it to boot makes my apartment look better its not so drab LOL anyhow i highly recommend this guitar i should have bought this ten years ago. These guitars are built to last so you save some cash on buying another guitar well I have my piece HAPPY PICKIN

So excited about finally getting a quality guitar. It may not be a $2000 martin or taylor but it's close enough for me. The sound is crisp and full. The neck feels great. The finish is beautiful. I was told this finish is discontinued so I guess Im lucky to get one of the last ones sitting in a L&M store.

I've owned this guitar for over a year now and I gotta say you cant go wrong. It is a great size with nice finishes especially the exposed gears on the headstock. The neck is the perfect length along with the fret spacings so it's easy to wrap your head around. All around amazing guitar.

I just purchased this today from the former Axe store in Edmonton. I have a few acoustic guitars already a Mexican made Martin, Ibanez art wood and an old Laredo. I was planing on buying a Taylor or a Gibson in the 1200.00-1300.00 range but didn't find anything that felt as good as this and the sound was very comparable. I paid 449.00. It's definitely well made and suits my playing style. Getting it home and playing side by side the Martin it's definitely a different sound not necessarily better but pleasant to the ear. I can not justify paying 4x as much for the same quality...and sound... I found the Gibson's and Taylor's were a better sounding/ playing guitars at the 2500.00 plus range. No electronics in it but that's okay I would rather mic it anyway.
