Beautiful sounding little instrument . The build quality seems fine. It’s solid and hefty. The sound is really nice . Well worth the price in my opinion.

My 9 year old son has been learning the the ukulele for a couple of years and wanted something a bit more "real" than the $50 uke he started out with. I took him to L&M where he tried everything that they had, but he fell in love with the sound of this one. Hes been playing it for over a year now and he still loves it. Easy to play and always catches the ear of a listener. A great buy and he definitely recommends..

It’s adorable and portable, It manages to sound like both a banjo and a ukulele quite nicely. Decent quality overall for the price. It does need to be retuned frequently, but that is to be expected with nylon strings. I don’t think the person who left a bad review understands what they were getting at all and probably just doesn’t know how to play it. Try it out.

I bought this instrument from the Nanaimo, B.C. store. Was excited as I had been looking for this instrument for a while. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. While the product quality appeared to be good, the banjolele would not hold its tune. We changed the strings and that made a minor difference but the A string tuner kept on slipping. Upon further examination we noted that the tuners were also very cheap and you literally had to crank the tuners to get the strings tuned. The A string never did tune in fact it did not register on the tuner. The instrument was returned. Also the material used on the body gave the instrument a hollow sound like a drum...to the point where it was difficult to really discern the string tones. Did not sound like a banjolele should sound at all. Would discourage anyone from buying this instrument.

I had no intention of buying this instrument. When I picked it up and played a few notes I fell in live. The banjo sound makes me smile. It is a simple transition from concert uke to banjo uke. The sound is a little hokey but that's part of the charm. Worth the price.
