Our mini musicals class will discover music by singing songs, making crafts, and playing games accompanied by piano and a variety of other insurtments. The class runs in 8 week sessions. Out next session runs from February 22nd to April 11th 10 to 11am for $176.

Anna Caroline Boyes - Piano, Voice music lessons in Oshawa

Anna Caroline Boyes (Piano, Voice)

Anna Caroline Boyes has studied and coached with Dr. Sophie Roland, Simone Luti, John Hess, Roxolana Roslak and Stefano Algieri. She holds a Masters of Music in Voice Performance and Literature from Western University and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from McGill University, where she was twice the recipient of the the “Mariana Paunova and Stefano Algieri Scholarship in Voice” as well as the “Gaelyne Gabora Memorial Prize”. Anna teaches students from 5 - 75 with passion, enthusiasm and patience.
Anna's rate is $24 per half hour. 

Brian Murphy - Woodwinds -sax, flute, clarinet music lessons in Oshawa

Brian Murphy (Woodwinds -sax, flute, clarinet)

Saxophonist, woodwind doubler, and jazz educator, Brian Murphy is a graduate of the Humber College music program. During his studies, Brian studied with some of Canada’s finest woodwind players, including Pat LaBarbera, Alex Dean, Mark Promane and Brian Lillos. In 2008, Brian moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to begin his Masters Degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) where he was awarded a Graduate Assistantship.  During his studies in Las Vegas, Brian had the opportunity to study with Phil Wigfall (Celine Dion) and Nathan Tanouye (Celine Dion). In 2010, Brian began teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Jazz Woodwinds at UNLV in the College of Fine Arts, while maintaining a very busy performance schedule. During this time, Brian had the opportunity to perform with The Four Tops, The Temptations, Bobby Rydell, The Righteous Brothers, and Matt Goss on the famous Las Vegas Strip. Brian was also the first call substitute for both Reed 1 and Reed 2 on Vegas! The Show at the Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops, doubling on saxophones, flute, and clarinet. Brian has extensive musical theatre experience, including Forbidden Broadway, Smokey Joe’s Café, A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum, It’s A Grand Night for Singing, and Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. Brian returned to Canada in the summer of 2017 with his family to continue teaching and performing in Southern Ontario.

Brian Welsh is a multi-talented musician with over 40 years of performance experience and 15 plus years of teaching experience.
His primary instruments are guitar and banjo; he also plays dobro, violin, viola, piano, mandolin, and bass. He enjoys teaching folk, country, blues, classic rock, bluegrass, classical, and Celtic music.

Don has performed with several noted Canadian performers. His playing can be heard on internet radio and broadcast radio around the world.

Now he is looking forward to sharing his musical knowledge and performing expertise with the new generation of aspiring drummers of all ages in Rock, Funk, Blues, Jazz, R&B, Fusion, Reggae as well as Latin percussion instruments.

Graham’s career highlights include playing Canada’s biggest metal festival “Heavy Montreal” (2015); and receiving multiple awards, most notably, an award from the New Conservatory of Music. With over 15 years of experience with Bass and Guitar, Graham is thrilled to share his knowledge with beginners to experienced musicians. From metal to jazz Graham inspires students to open their eyes to the endless possibility that music presents.

Joan Lee attained her piano training at the Royal Conservatory of Music and her vocal training at the Western Conservatory. She has been an organist and choir director for over 40 years. She excels at preparing students for R.C.M. exams and festival competitions; her students and choirs achieve great success in both.

Maetinee has obtained a fully advanced piano grade 5 Yamaha Certificate (Japan), Trinity (London) and RCM grade 10 Certificates with honours. She also holds Elementary & Intermediate Specialist Piano Certificates and is currently pursuing an Advanced Specialist Piano Certificate from the Royal Conservatory. She has over 10 years of experience in teaching piano in variety of musical styles such as classical, pop, chords, improvisation and gospel music. She also has extensive experience in coaching students towards piano performance on the live stage in competitions, piano recitals and preparing students for piano examinations such as Yamaha, Trinity and RCM; level 1-8 in both practical and theory.

Neal is in demand as an educator having given countless workshops and masterclasses for Teachers and students alike for the Durham District, Toronto District and York Region school boards. Neal plays and teaches Upright and Electric bass, guitar and ukulele.

Svetlana Jermakowicz attained her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education degrees at the Pedagogical University in Minsk, Belarus, majoring in violin performance. She is an active musician in Durham Region performing as a soloist for special events, weddings and in trios and quartets. She enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels. Svetlana has been teaching piano, violin and music theory for over 25 years. During these years she has prepared numerous students for Royal Conservatory Examinations and the Kiwanis Music Festival with the highest degrees of achievement. The lessons are are creative and vibrant, tailored to the needs of each student with the goal of teaching the language of music and the joy of music-making.
