Amanda Quick - Cello, Piano music lessons in London South

Amanda Quick (Cello, Piano)

Amanda Quick is an enthusiastic cellist and pianist hailing from Strathroy, Ontario. She has performed in numerous competitions, and has won the London Kiwanis Senior Cello Trophy, placed runner-up at the Provincial Competitions of Ontario (in both cello and piano), and received a scholarship toward her Bachelor of Musical Arts in Cello Performance degree at Western University. Amanda has been teaching privately for over seven years. She starts her students with the Suzuki Method, and gradually branches out to other genres as the student progresses. She is eager to bring her musical knowledge and experience to Long & McQuade! Her rate is $25.00/half-hour private lesson.

Caelyn Hill - Voice, Piano, Flute, Theory music lessons in London South

Caelyn Hill (Voice, Piano, Flute, Theory)

Caelyn Hill is a young soprano who recently graduated from the University of Western Ontario (BMus Voice Performance, 2018) and is currently pursuing a Masters of Music Education at the University of Western Ontario. Hill has worked in both opera and musical theatre, through the roles of performer, director/conductor, and stage manager in a variety of productions. In addition, Hill was the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards for her academic and performance-based accomplishments. Hill is deeply passionate about the transformative power of music, as she enjoys working all age groups and levels and hopes to inspire and foster an appreciation for fine arts in her students. Her rate is $24/half-hour private lesson.

Hillary Tufford - Piano, Voice, Theory music lessons in London South

Hillary Tufford (Piano, Voice, Theory)

Rachel graduated at the top of her class from the University of Windsor’s Bachelor of Music program in classical voice with a minor in the Italian language. In 2016 she studied French in a five-week immersion course at the University of Moncton, New Brunswick. Rachel performs in classical, jazz, and rock/pop genres as a soloist, instrumentalist, and chorus member. Since moving from Windsor to London, she has performed a solo recital and worked as a music educator. Rachel is passionate about teaching voice and piano in all genres to all ages. Her attention to detail helps students prepare for RCM exams, auditions, and performances and her enthusiasm helps to foster a lifelong love of music. Her rate is $23.00/per half-hour private lesson.

Kelsey Regier (Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute, Piano)

Kelsey Regier is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree of Music with Honours in Education at Western University. She has been playing clarinet for nine years, including studying under Marie Johnson and Jana Starling at UWO. Kelsey loves teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone and piano to enthusiastic students of all ages. She currently volunteers in schools, delivers woodwind workshops and staffs at music camps during the summer. Her philosophy has always been to engage her students to be well-rounded and confident performers through a variety of genres and repertoire. Nunu Zhang - Piano, Theory music lessons in London South

Nunu Zhang (Piano, Theory)

Nunu has completed a Master’s of Piano Performance from The University of Western Ontario, a Licentiate Diploma from McGill University, an A.R.C.T from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, and is an active member of the Ontario Registered Music Teacher’s Association (ORMTA). She is praised for creating fun lesson plans specific to each student especially for adults, and in the younger ages during the fundamental period of their learning. She is accepting of all personalities and finds joy in finding what works for each student. Parents see results and are proud of the work done while studying piano with her. Patricia has eighteen years of experience as a Pianist. After graduating in Piano and Masters in Contemporary Music, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Brasilia, Brazil for more than 8 years. She also served as Piano Teacher at Claude Debussy Academy, in Brazil, and taught Contemporary Music at New York University, USA. Patricia holds a PhD in Health Sciences, from the University of Western Ontario, after presenting her thesis: “Music to improve the Quality of Life”. With a passion to connect with students of different levels and ages, Patricia is able to teach piano pedagogy, efficient practice methods and music theory, sharing with them her true love for mus

Sally Norris (Piano, Theory)

Sally Norris plays the piano and composes in a variety of classical, improvised, new music, modern and avant garde settings. Raised in London ON, she studied music composition (BMus Wilfrid Laurier 2006; MA Wesleyan University 2009), and currently studies audiology and hearing science (MClSc/PhD Western University). Centred on musicians and their development, her research explores the connection between hearing and making sounds. Her preferred methods for composition and teaching are collaborative. Knitting, sewing, baking and gardening are her favoured hobbies. Her rate is $23/half-hour private lesson.

Samantha Lanooy - Trumpet, Trombone, Piano music lessons in London South

Samantha Lanooy (Trumpet, Trombone, Piano)

Samantha Lanooy is currently studying the trumpet at Western University. She loves to explore different styles on both piano and trumpet including Pop, Funk, Classical and Jazz. For the past two years she has been a member of the Western University Jazz Ensemble and has assisted as a co-conductor of the TVDSB Honour Jazz band. Earlier this year, she received the Bruce and Helen Mills Scholarship and the James A. Ford Memorial Award for her passion for teaching. Suzie Huh is a graduate of the Honours Music Education Program at Western University. With over 15 years of experience in piano and voice, she is dedicated to developing the full musical potential and talents of her students. She has won several awards from the Lions Music Festival and took part in the Celebration of the Arts Competition in Newmarket. Furthermore, she has been involved with her church in the roles of chorister and accompanist. Suzie has been teaching piano and voice to students of all ages for over 7 years.
