Caeleigh Warke - Violin music lessons in Edmonton North

Caeleigh Warke (Violin)

Caeleigh Warke has been playing violin for 9 years and has studied with Lauren Tyrell and Leanne Maitland. Caeleigh also plays piano and has sung with the Edmonton Youth Choir for 11 years. Caeleigh is currently in her second year of the Photographic Technology program at NAIT.
Caeleigh offers lessons at our Edmonton North store and her rate is $24 per half hour.

Erik Hamilton - Guitar, Bass, Ukulele music lessons in Edmonton North

Erik Hamilton (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele)

Erik is a pop, rock and jazz guitarist from Edmonton, Alberta. He has a music diploma with Performance Major from MacEwan University (2015) and has studied with accomplished guitarists Jim Head, Mo Lefever and Jamie Philp. Erik currently plays guitar and bass studio projects, live performances, and has done shows in a variety of venues across western Canada. He is also a song writer and composer. Erik offers lessons at our Edmonton North store and his rate is $24 per half hour.

Ethan Tonack - Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Banjo, Mandolin music lessons in Edmonton North

Ethan Tonack (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Banjo, Mandolin)

Ethan earned a Bachelor of Music degree with a major in performance from MacEwan University in 2016. While at MacEwan, he had the opportunity to focus on jazz, blues, and rock guitar styles while studying extensively under Juno Award nominated guitarist Jim Head. Ethan is active in the local music scene, performing regularly with High Tides, O’Neill Quintet, the Ethan Tonack Trio, and more. In his travels he has performed across Western Canada at Winnipeg’s Festival du Voyageur, Regina’s Artful Dodger, Calgary’s Vern’s Tavern, and numerous other venues. Ethan offers lessons at our Edmonton North store and his rate is $25 per half hour.

Jerry Ozipko - Violin, Brass, Woodwinds music lessons in Edmonton North

Jerry Ozipko (Violin, Brass, Woodwinds)

Jerry has his Bachelor of Music and has taught band in a high school setting for over 15 years. Jerry has had a love of teaching for many years and wants to continue passing on his knowledge at Long & McQuade. Primarily Jerry plays violin, clarinet and saxophone but he is capable of instructing on any band instrument up to a level 2 proficiency. Jerry offers lessons at our Edmonton North store and his rate is $26 per half hour.

Leah Balding - Piano, Voice, Theory music lessons in Edmonton North

Leah Balding (Piano, Voice, Theory)

Leah Balding has been playing piano since the age of 7, and grew up in a family with eclectic musical tastes. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Music in 2019, and completed Opera NUOVA’s emerging artist program in 2018. While at the University of Alberta she received the Peace River Pioneer Memorial Scholarship in Music, and the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship. Drawing from her experience with yoga, breath, and Alexander Technique, Leah incorporates physical aspects into her teaching because she believes it is the foundation of expression and freedom. Leah has been teaching since 2016, and is welcoming new students in piano, voice, and music theory. Along with being trained in voice and piano, Leah is also a trained yoga teacher and an active performer in the community. She can help with interpretation, stage presence, performance, choral repertoire, ear training, theory, and becoming a well rounded musician. She believes that learning music should always be fun and accessible to everyone. Leah offers lessons at at our Edmonton North store and her rate is $25 per half hour.

Lydia-Ann Levesque - Voice & Violin music lessons in Edmonton North

Lydia-Ann Levesque (Voice & Violin)

Lydia has her Bachelor of Music degree from The King's University College as well as her Bachelor of Arts with Vocal Performance from Briercrest College and Seminary. She has performed in the Edmonton Opera Chorus since 2013 and enjoys it immensely! She has many years of teaching experience and looks forward to working in the studio along side her many talented co-workers. Mathew Glenn - Voice, Guitar (Classical, Rock, Pop), Bass music lessons in Edmonton North

Mathew Glenn (Voice, Guitar (Classical, Rock, Pop), Bass)

Mathew Glenn was born and raised in Edmonton, and he is graduating with a BMus in voice at the University of Alberta in 2019 under the tutelage of Juno award winning tenor John Tessier. Mathew was raised on rock and blues and still loves any style of music with singing and guitar. Mathew has been playing guitar since 2004 with an interest that ranges from classical to jazz, rock to country, and even a bit of metal.

While completing his degree he has been focusing on classical singing, at first in university choirs and ensembles, and starting in 2013 he has been performing as a regular chorister with Edmonton Opera. Mathew feels that great music transcends genre and he loves to explore anything that is new. Mathew offers lessons at our Edmonton North store and his rate is $25 per half hour.

Micah Hussell - Piano & Saxophone music lessons in Edmonton North

Micah Hussell (Piano & Saxophone)

Micah Hussell started playing the saxophone at age 10, and started playing piano shortly thereafter. He graduated from The King’s University College with a Bachelor of Music in saxophone performance. After finding his love for choral singing with The King's University College Concert and Chamber Choirs, he proceeded to sing with other choral ensembles including Edmonton Youth Choir, Alberta Youth Choir, Pro Coro Connect, and Chronos Vocal Ensemble. Micah will be graduating from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Music in Saxophone Performance and Composition in 2019. Micah has been teaching at Long & McQuade Edmonton North since March 2016 and his rate is $25 per half hour.

Paul James Hycha Hoar - Drums & Percussion music lessons in Edmonton North

Paul James Hycha Hoar (Drums & Percussion)

Paul is a graduate of the MacEwan University music program. Along with teaching private music lessons, Paul has also been involved with Impact Performing Arts as a drumline and percussion ensemble instructor. When not teaching Paul remains active in the local music scene playing with a variety of bands. Paul offers lessons at our Edmonton North store and his rate is $25 per half hour.

Susan Kay (Piano & Theory)

Susan Kay is a Royal Conservatory of Music Certified Teacher, she has been teaching piano and theory since 1995 to students in a wide range of ages, levels, and musical genres. She is working towards an Associate Diploma (ARCT) in piano teaching and is currently completing a BA in Music at the University of Alberta. Susan would be happy to help you work towards your musical goals such as exam preparation, beginner classes, returning to piano, or for the enjoyment of learning your favorite pieces. Rate: $24 per half hour.

Wyatt LaPrairie - Drums music lessons in Edmonton North

Wyatt LaPrairie (Drums)

Wyatt LaPrairie is a session drummer based out of Edmonton and Fort McMurray, Alberta. Primarily studying improvisation within jazz music, LaPrairie continues to explore all aspects of the history, tradition and language of the music he loves to play. LaPrairie has a degree in contemporary pop and jazz music. He has studied with Tommi Rautiainen at Metropolia University in Helsinki, Brian Thurgood, and Dan skakun at Macewan. LaPrairie has workshopped with Nate Wood, Mark guiliana and Ari hoenig at Clinics in both Europe and Canada. LaPrairie has recorded and released a cross-continental collaborational free-jazz album with Vesa Lehko and Markku Toikkanen released of First Art Records in Finland. LaPrairie continues to perform in several bands within the edmonton music scene. You can catch him playing with Chick chameleon, R.O.A.M, STRETCH, Carl glacier, The Wyatt LaPrairie quintet, and the mischief quintet. His rate is $24 per half hour lesson.
