Andrew Noakes (GUITAR, BASS GUITAR, UKULELE, TRUMPET, TROMBONE, BRASS)

Andrew Noakes has been teaching for 6 years in private, group and classroom settings. A Calgary boy who attended Mount Royal University with a Diploma in Jazz Performance, then transfered to the big city of Toronto to complete a Bachelor's degree in Music from Humber College. After living in Toronto for 7 years, having incredible opportunities to perform in the premier venues and teaching in different areas across Toronto and Ontario with many different ensembles, bands and orchestras, he never quite felt like a Torontonian. He decided to move back to his home province, to engage in the Albertan music community. Andrew is a professional trombonist and guitarist, most notably performing with Dipo, Gold Complex, the Lower Ossington Musical Theatre Company, Broken Social Scene and more. As well, Andrew just completed a Bachelor of Education from York University in Toronto - he is hoping to utilize new pedagogical practices in all of his teaching. He specializes in teaching guitar (acoustic/classical/nylon string and electric), electric bass, trombone (tenor and bass), trumpet, ukulele and music theory. Andrew teaches lessons at our Edmonton Highlands location.
His rate is $24 per half hour.

Ani Brenton - VOICE, PIANO, THEORY music lessons in Edmonton Northeast

Ani Brenton (VOICE, PIANO, THEORY)

Ani Brenton completed her diploma in Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music from Grant MacEwan University in 2010, and is currently in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) at the University of Alberta. Between finishing her studies at MacEwan and beginning at the UofA, Ani took time off to travel, gig, and begin teaching private voice, piano, and theory lessons, which she has been doing since 2012. Ani specializes in a variety of styles including pop, jazz, soul, blues, musical theatre and classical music. She enjoys seeing her students’ progress, and the amount of joy music can to a person’s day. Ani teaches voice, piano, and theory lessons at our Edmonton Highlands location.
Her rate is $23 per half hour.

CONNOR ELLINGER - DRUMS music lessons in Edmonton Northeast

CONNOR ELLINGER (DRUMS)

Connor Ellinger is a music graduate with a Performance Diploma from MacEwan University. He studied with musicians such as Kenny Washington, Dan Skakun and Sandro Dominelli. He has been teaching privately since 2014 and also has had an active career as a drummer since 2010. He has been involved with numerous recordings and has toured across Canada and the US. He teaches all skill levels and can teach all genres also specializing in Reading, Theory and Audition Preparation. Connor offers lessons in Edmonton at our Highlands location.
His rate is $23 per half hour.

Curtis Ross - GUITAR, BASS GUITAR music lessons in Edmonton Northeast

Curtis Ross (GUITAR, BASS GUITAR)

Curtis has been teaching since 2008 in a variety of genres including rock, pop, R&B and metal. He has released two solo albums that charted highly on CBC and college radio throughout Canada, and was the musical director for several plays including the University of Alberta's production of Tom Waits' “The Black Rider.” He has performed with many prominent artists such as George Clinton, Parliament/Funkadelic, Cadence Weapon and Bill Bourne. Curtis offers lessons in Edmonton at our Highlands location.
His rate is $25 per half hour.

DUANE CLARK - BASS GUITAR, PIANO music lessons in Edmonton Northeast

DUANE CLARK (BASS GUITAR, PIANO)

Duane Clark is a music graduate with a music diploma from Red Deer College. He has been teaching private lessons for the Bass Guitar and Piano for four years and Drums for two. Duane has been an active musician in Symphonic Bands, Jazz combos and Progressive rock bands. Additionally he played with the Edmonton Youth Orchestra for four years. Duane enjoys providing a really good foundation for beginner and intermediate students, and specializes in Ear training and Theory. Duane offers lessons in Edmonton at our Highlands location.
His rate is $23 per half hour.

KELLY SMITH - GUITAR music lessons in Edmonton Northeast

KELLY SMITH (GUITAR)

Kelly Smith has been teaching private lessons for the last three years. He started his own private lessons at the age of ten and is currently obtaining his Bachelor of Music Degree from Grant MacEwan University. He has played in a variety of groups and performed in different venues around Alberta for the last two years. He is the founding member of Jam Band, Sound Bodacious. He enjoys teaching all skill levels and specializes in Jazz and Rock styles. Kelly offers lessons in Edmonton at our Highlands location.
His rate is $23 per half hour.
