I thought all was said and done when Digitech released the Whammy twenty years ago then they came out with this. A pedal finally that does what a limiting and cumbersome Ebow does without tying up your picking hand or a Fernandes Sustainer does without routing and altering the guitar. It has settings even beyond those earlier gadgets. A general setting I use is either the 1st, Nat Low or Nat Hi types. the 2nd or 5th settings don't sound as natural. I also use the Momentary "latch"mode that activates the effect when you step and hold the switch when you hit a note that you want sustain and feedback with. The onset is at 1 oclock so the note sustains naturally like a loud amp would. The gain about the same. The gain at under 9 oclock pronounces hardly any effect, when maxed out the note tends to squeal and be out of control. You can shut off the dry signal and create flute or cello effects by lowering the onset knob and using the Oct type setting. Sounds like a volume effect as well. The few downfalls is the note will cut out at a certain point while it holds so you have to practice with the effect a little to make it work for you. It also can't be used with most chords as it gets confused if there are too many notes at the same time. Power chords work though.

This pedal is fun and can create feedback at any volume. While there are several tones one can set the pedal to produce; it really shines on either of the high/low natural settings. My only complaint is that the feedback drops off rather suddenly when in latch mode, but it's not enough to complain too much about. I can see it working well in a jam setting or while practicing using a looper.
