Another win for the Squier Classic Vibe line-up. This 50s-style P-bass is not in the CV revisions announced at 2019 NAMM, so it may be a disappearing beast. This is simply the best sub $1000 bass I've played. Looks and sounds great, though a very bright instrument (as expected). Strung with flatwounds, it has a natural throaty tone. Powerful and articulate simultaneously. Construction and finish are flawless. The only adjustments needed were a slight tip downward on the treble side of the pickup, and I may take a bit of relief out of the neck, personal taste matters. No dead frets, noisy pots or sticky tuners. I'd rate Value well above 5 if I could.

I'm surprised this Bass isn't as much as an American Standard, I actually prefer it over my AS. The single pickup has Alnico magnets which makes it's sound very good & the simplicity is nice. It's built very well and it looks amazing as well
