OBSCURA

Limited stock available in select stores only Available in store used 3 from $175.00

The Obscura Altered Delay from DigiTech allows you to turn your delays upside down and inside out. The Obscuras four delay types can be darkened, degraded and distorted on the fly with the stacked Tone and Degrade controls. Combine these controls with the Obscuras Repeat/Hold feature and lose yourself in long, trippy, gurgling repeats or backwards-manipulated sonic mayhem.

In addition to its Tone and Degrade controls, the Obscura features independent Level, Delay Mode and stacked Time and Repeats controls. Complimenting those versatile controls, the Obscura offers four excellent-sounding Analog, Tape, Lo-Fi, and Reverse types, Tap Tempo mode with Beat Divisions, Stereo Inputs/Outputs, a Delay Tails On/Off Switch and True Bypass circuitry.

The Obscura uses a 9V DC power supply to easily integrate into your existing pedalboard.

• Stomplock knob guard locks your tone in place and prevent tampering or accidental knob adjustments onstage

picked this up yesterday, brought it home and it sounds totally unique and its a ton of fun! not to mention it looks really cool! the delay select switch on mine doesnt seem to be able to select the reverse mode, there are confirmed spots for each of the 3 other modes but it goes right past the reverse spot. a quick review of mother google tell me that other folks have had issues with the knobs as well, so im not totally sure how i feel about that im gonna bring it back today and see if im crazy

TLDR: This pedal is worth it for the degrade function. The pedal makes some super convincing analog delay sounds despite it being digital. The degrade knob adds a third dimension and can create warbly almost chorus sounds over longer sustained notes. Very warm sounding. Plus tap tempo and the Trails switch being on the outside of the circuitry! Wooo.

I'm a sucker for a dark, tape/analogish tone with some subtle mod. this pedal NAILS it. beautiful sound. concentric knobs are genius. and the tap tempo w/ subdivisions is really nice to have. I went to L&M hoping to walk out with an Alter Ego... This sound superior (for my tastes).

I was debating between the Obscura and the Alter Ego delay TC Electronic. Having used and loved TC's delays before, I wasn't exactly thinking of getting the Obscura delay. I was just trying out this pedal for the sake of comparison and it actually made me change my mind! This pedal is packed with 4 very usable and musical delay sounds and the sound quality is on par with (if not a bit warmer than) the TC delays. One thing to note is that while this IS a digital delay, it doesn't do the pristine clean delay like the TC flashback. This pedal does darker and moodier sounds based on analog, tape, lo-fi delays. I currently run this pedal with the mini flashback from TC and I am quite satisfied with the setup. Highly recommended!
