Just rented one of these units, outdoor gig, raining (I kept it dry), 3 hours of playing time, and NO complaints. The transmitter life read-out was very useful. I had no drop outs at all even getting out into the crowd. I was very impressed by all the little details on the transmitter, sleep mode, the detent built into the case so it only opens to switches first, and then batteries after that, the locking patch cord, and unlike the the belt clip on the unit on one of my other guitars, the Line6 transmitter actually held all night. I do think it's pricey for sure though, especially with the newer Xvive and Boss units coming out that are tiny and cheap, but if you're in need of a multi-guitar rig that can used and abused, you'll get it with this. You'll also pay for it too.

The construction is sturdy, but all I get are drop outs unless I have the receiver within 20 feet of the transmitter packs. What's the point of wireless then?? I've used the frequency scan on multiple occasions and it hasn't helped. Also, sometimes the packs will just go to sleep, even with the sleep feature disabled. Might as well just use a wired set up.

I use it on bass and yes I have had drop outs... but that was before I learned how to use the hidden feature that they never talk about. the build in channel scan feature. since then I haven't had a drop out at a gig. the features have been stepped up too. I switched from the G50 just for the fact I can now use a 14 chord. the battery compartment was a huge improvement as well. this is a great wireless unit and if the G50 was good enough for billy Sheehan to tour with I'm sure it will be good enough for my bar gigs
