Aubert Lutherie was established in 1864 by Emile Aubert along the Madon River at Ambacourt near Mirecourt, France. This region is the cradle of the French stringed-instrument trade due to its proximity to the forests of the Vosages and the Jura. Throughout most of its history Aubert Lutherie was a maker of fine bridges, however in 1987 a stringed-instrument workshop was added, and the enterprise was gathered together in Mirecourt itself.

Christophe Delange Cello
Particular emphasis is placed on the elegance of this model, high quality workmanship, and the choice of resonant tonewoods. This instrument is very well balanced and offers power, brightness, and warmth of tone for a versatility which should suit many musicians and many kinds of repertoire. Golden-brown varnish slightly antiqued.
