With a very responsive and extremely well balanced dreadnought sound, the Songsmith is an honest and true acoustic guitar. With a Varnish Burst finish and a select pressure tested solid top, its sound (as with all S&P models) will only get better the more the guitar is played overtime

This is a wonderful guitar. I’ve played a few different genres of songs and it’s remarkable how good it sounds for all them. The strings almost never go out of tune and it does indeed sound better the more you play it. I was flabbergasted when I saw the quality assurance tag with the signatures of the luthiers responsible for quality assurance. It gave it a very personal feel. Simon and Patrick are a wonderful Canadian brand that we can be proud of. Their guitars are internationally recognized which makes them a safe and cost effective choice for Canadians. My only complaint is that it sounds so good that it has me wondering now if I should’ve splurged more money for an electric acoustic SP model. It’d be nice to play with a loop pedal or learn with a digital recording tool of some sort. All in all, this guitar’s bang for your buck is extraordinary. It’s the best thing I bought in 2019, hands down.

I have never had a sweeter, fuller sound out of guitar from the store. The fact that this will improve over time is well, music to my ears. Best value possible, and to know it is made in Quebec, along with the Tric case, makes this purchase even better. I love it!!

If you are just starting to play or want to start playing the guitar again the S&P Songsmith is a good choice. It has great tone and stays tuned. Most are set up out of the box with low action and no buzzing. The finish and workmanship are outstanding. I have owned this guitar for 6 months and can't help to play it everyday. I bought mine for $329.00 at Long and McQuade in Nov 2015. They are now $379.00 and I suspect that they will go up from there. The staff at L&M are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. If you're looking to buy a good beginner to intermediate guitar this is the one. Get yourself a TRIC case at the same time - the guitars and cases are both made in Canada by Godin.
