The EBS OctaBass analog octave divider creates a single note one octave below the pitch of the played note, adding a new dimension to your sound.
New edition with improved tracking!
The 2008 edition uses true bypass techniques and triggers better and faster than ever!
The pedal also recognizes two or three-note chords and trigger the lowest note. Control the level of the original tone and mix in the octave effect. Choose between High, Mid or Low Range.

I think this is a great Octave pedal. Just like every other I've tried, it starts to add a distortion/warble sort've sound when you play below a B, but as I said they all seem to do that. (I'm talking A string B, not low B). The other Octave I would suggest comparing this to is the MXR one. All the others, to me, just don't compare. I chose the EBS because it has more sound options, and I personally really like the synth character of the "high" setting. Great pedal. Also, I don't have the pop sound the other reviewer described. I own other EBS pedals and haven't experienced that issue, thankfully.

Built like a tank, you could drop it off a three story building and it would not even scratch it. However, every once in a while I get a loud popping sound when I engage it. That pop through 1200 watts of bass rig is kind of disturbing. Very sensitive to fret buzz as well, so adjust accordingly. My Behringer does the same thing, just more plastic in the body. It gets a 6 for value because of this.
