One thing missing is a pre-eq switch for the LIne Out. This is full of features it's strange that they forgot that important one for me. That is why I can't give a perfect score.

Whether amplifying a bass or an electric guitar this little 5lb jewel does it incredibly well. Nothing sounds bad through it to my ears. There's an incredible amount of variety in what it'll do tonally thanks to the 4-band EQ. For bass I tend to go for the "vintage" tone with boosted mids, though active basses sound a bit more life like without any of the tone shaping buttons engaged. Guitar I was able to dial in a very warm but sparkly tone without using any of the buttons. Those buttons do make a difference though, and using them in combination provides some interesting results. The OD is also really good, again for bass or guitar. I can't say enough good things about how they've done the gain structure and how the built in compression does it's thing. And while I run mine so that my outboard compressors are what do the compressing it's easy enough to use the amp itself to handle that. TalkBass has a Rumble club and wiki, there's great info there that helps in understanding how to make the amp sound a certain way. Plus it can be used without a cab as a straight up preamp or for practicing late at night or in an apartment or what have you. And there's an effects loop. Really all it's missing is a dedicated tuner out. The footpedal is also a must have addition. In short it's the best SS amp I've ever used, even for guitar I'm totally in love and don't feel the need to go for tubes. (I know, but really are tubes even worth having outside of the high-end of the professional side of being a musician?)

Great sounding amp! With that vintage button engaged, it sounds very close to my all tube YBA-1. I play metal rock and with a drum and boogie tripple(150w), that little 5 pound beast hook to a 4/10 and 1/15 is almost overkill! I run that amp idle, volume at around 3, and i get more than enough power to cut through the mix. I had the old version of rumble and this v3 series is way better, i highly recomand this amp!

I got to play through this today at the Fender bass day at the Terminal store. It's a great sounding amp for a great price. Recommended!
