Picked this bass up today as I’ve been looking to get one in the 550 range (came to 537 with the Long & McQuade insurance), and it’s an AMAZING bass for the price, it has a master volume, a tone blend knob (which pickup is more dominant, even has an etch for 50/50), and as well has a treble tone knob and a bass tone knob. The intonation coming out of the box was perfect, the action isn’t perfect but it’s pretty dang close (it’s perfect for slap), and the pickups sound GREAT. Even with the small 10” Epiphone Electar 15B the bass sounds amazing. The only issue I have is the positioning of the output jack, I can’t sit on my bed and go to town as the chord will stick down almost flush with your leg (unless using 90 degree chord). Tobias makes some dang good basses and I’ll be sure to be getting another Tobias soon.

I bought one of these Toby bass guitars to use as a jam guitar and for some recording on the recommendation of a L&M employee after telling him that I was looking for something inexpensive but with a decent sound. Don't let the price fool you, this thing sounds better than some bass guitars in the $1000 range. It records very well and has a great feel. Totally impressed.
