The Planet Waves Circuit Breaker plug has fail-safe operation to save your equipment from loud pops and squeals when you change guitars with a live amp. When the button is pushed, the cable shorts while remaining plugged into your guitar, making on-stage guitar changes a snap and eliminating any chance of sound bursts. Once the cable is shorted, remove the cable from the guitar being used and plug the cable into the next instrument. Press the button again to reactivate the cable signal.

Limited lifetime warranty

The ends are random sizes, the circuit breaker end is much larger to provide a secure fit, but two of the same cables will not fit the same input, meaning poor quality control. Which is what you pay 50$ a cable for. If one fits and one doesnt you will probably break your input finding out which is which. The straight end also falls out or stays depending. They are nicely built and finished, but not consistent enough to be considered "pro".. Theyare useless with a telecaster, and do not work with my focusrite, or my mesa or fender amps. One end does not fit, the other falls out, or is loose, to the point of sound loss.

I too had a problem with the circuit breaker. After approximately two year's of use it "crackled" for a few weeks then stopped working completely. I tried reconnecting the quick connectors on both ends but still no signal so the problem appears to be with the switch itself. Too bad because it was a very useful feature. I also noticed that the connector on the right angle end didn't want to stay in place on some instruments, as if it were just a fraction of an inch too short.

The circuit breaker button on the 90 degree end is garbage. It's a cool idea but it doesn't hold up for any length of time. Huge waist of money at almost $50.

I buy Planet Waves because of their Lifetime Warranty. I?ve purchased 4 since I first saw them on the market 10 years ago. Yes they cost more than most, but I still have all 4 in use because the few times where one actually shorted out, I took it back to L&M and they swapped it for a new one for me immediately. $40 and you have a cable guaranteed for life. Pretty hard to find companies that still back their products up like that. To me, that beats buying a $15 one every year.

I had this cable less than a week before it began shorting out on the right angle end. The open cct button feature is a great idea but it may be what caused my issue. Also the cable would not stop from twisting, raveling and tangling when in use. I have a couple of the cloth type cables and they maintain their shape no problem. I will go back to those.

This cable seems well constructed. The switch is a great feature. Problem I had is the 90 angle jack is too short to fit in my telecaster and is barely long enough to stay plugged into several other instruments on either end due to a washer on the top of the jack ends I suspect. It is not very flexible either.

Very thick cable, and heavy! i love how you can cut the signal! very handy! one of the best cables i have ever owned. pretty pricey i must admit, but what ever you pay for good quality, and that's exactly what you get.
