Powerful, innovative and versatile for stage and studio alike, the Bassman 100T is a professional-level 100-watt tube head with enormous Fender bass sound and sparkling vintage Fender looks. Its dual-channel design uses modern technology to maximize classic technology, with classic Fender late-60s/early-70s blackface styling and a wealth of innovative features on the front and rear panels.

Features include a tube preamp (two 12AX7s) and power amp (one 12AT7 and four 6L6s); Vintage channel that delivers the full, warm sound of a classic Fender passive tone stack; Overdrive channel that delivers the aggressive and responsive sound of a modern active tone stack (choose between channels with included footswitch); rear-panel Fender Automatic Bias system that constantly monitors and re-biases tubes for perfect performance and alerts you when service is required; XLR output that delivers overdriven power amp tone (great for recording); rear-panel Output Power switch that lets you play or record at full 100-watt power, quieter 25-watt power, or silently via internal power soak (which captures the signal post-power amp); impedance switch (8, 4 or 2 ohms) and master volume with push/pull mute.

I've been using this for 2 years now. Really like the two channels, it gives the amp so much more versatility and find myself using both channels frequently. Really like the "grind" I get out of the overdrive. The clean channel is just awesome sounding, to me. The clean Ch. EQ is "different" then most EQ's out there in that each band will affect the other two bands, a definite learning curve for me, but I've never dealt with this type of EQ before, still it's very useful and has a wide tonal range. The active Ch. has a more straight forward cut/boost type of EQ that is much more "conventional" . And has a very wide useful tonal range. I like the self Biasing feature and was one of the deciding factors that lead to my purchase of this amp. The 100 watts is plenty of power for me, I rarely turn this thing past 3.5 unless I'm constipated and need to get things moving. Seriously 100 tube watts going into my 410 Neo is dangerously loud, and with the direct out feeding the PA their is no reason I would ever need any more then 100 tube watts. I did have an issue with some internal wire connections loosening and a capacitor failed & 25w LED indicator burnt out, all covered by warrenty. The shop that fixed it Lextronics, Calgary, AB. is Fender certified and did a very thorough job of rectifying all the issues. I would give this head a better score but with the failed cap and loose connection issues just can't. And I feel it is too pricey on one one hand but compared to others around the same price point that don't have a 2nd channel I also feel it's a good value. I would definitely buy this head again over any other.
