And it does it all in a standard BOSS pedal that slides easily into any mono or stereo setup. Eleven modes provide delay colours from basic to exotic, plus a looper with unlimited overdub capability and external control support. For maximum versatility in a minimum amount of space, there's no better delay stomp than the DD-8.

This is a great versatile delay pedal, in the studio or live. An amazing array of great delay sounds. Shimmer, Modulation, Warp, all very cool. The shimmer effect used during recording is a very useful tool [great live as well]. The Tape delay is possibly my favorite setting. Go from Scotty Moore 1950's slap-back to Jimmy Page 1973 Madison Square Garden with a simple turn of the feedback/repeat knob.Stunning! The analog position will soon have you forget Boss's classic DM2, or the Waza reissue. This pedal does the DM2 analog thing way better. I am still going to hang on to my 25 year old DD3, but the DD8 does that way better as well. More note clarity, warmth, less muddy.Other modes;Warm, standard, RV, all so good. Very impressed with this pedal so far. All modes are great, with the usual Boss stomp box bullet proof build. The GLT and reverse? are still a bit of a mystery to me, but maybe I'll warm up to them in time? On the fly tap tempo works perfectly, as does the onboard looper. The DD8 is a solid 5 out of 5!

I tried it at the store and was not sure because my rig was so much different than what was available also the delay works best in effects loop don’t even bother outside the loop It has a lot of effect features and the delay sound is good . There is even a reverb plus delay section, would I recommend it , yes it’s good gear

Hard to fault! It does a lot of things extremely well and is easy to get dialled in. For another $150ish you could get the DD-200 which would spin circles around this for features... but that doesn't diminish this pedal's value very much. The fundamental quality of sound is just as good here and if you don't need presets and deep editing parameters this is a no-brainer.
