APEX327

Online

The Apex327 is the ideal harp mic. The attached 20-foot cable with ¼-inch strain-relieved jack allows the microphone to direct connect to a high-impedance instrument level input. The high impedance design ensures the Apex327 has enough gain to drive the front end of a tube guitar amp with as much grit as any true blues harp player may need.

An easily accessible integrated volume control knob in the body of the microphone that allows the player to make gain adjustments on the fly. The contoured bullet-shaped design fits perfectly in the hands. In addition to its traditional use as a harmonica mic, unique Apex327 can also be used for distinct, lo-fi vocals.

  • Compact Bullet Shape

  • Microphone Output Volume Control

  • High Impedance Output with Increased Gain

Had a vintage EV630 I was using which gave up the ghost. Bought one of these at the local L&McQ, they graciously let me return it. As the previous review states, would be ok with pedals. Doesn't provide the closed mic sound as this unit is vented. Ok mic, just know what your buying.

This microphone is a very clear and clean mic, great for those who want to amplify a harmonica and maintain that clean sound. It also pairs well with an overdrive (preferably tube to dynamic drive) to get that "When the Levee Breaks" tone. This mic does lofi vocals fairly well but doesn't have that boxy AM radio sound until some effects thrown on it. This mic has surprisingly good feedback resistance as well. Overall, great clean mic but if you want some natural grit you might want to keep looking
