Great sound, lots of headroom, and light enough to lug around. The new style volume pot is smooth and linear with no added noise. Very pleased with this product.

Rented the older version of this amp as part of the back line for a large outdoor rally, was very impressed with the clear ,clean sound even at higher volumes. When the new version came along, I grabbed it. I don?t typically play loud, but some of the bigger open air concerts,it?s easier to just reach down and add some power versus asking the monitor tech to add it in the buds/ wedges. Super clean for traditional country, yet breaks up nicely for classic rock, toss in your favourite pedals and it?s a great workhorse for most anything and it doesn?t bust your back to move it.

I did a whole juggle between Deluxe Reverb, Princeton Reverb, (both 68 and 65) Blues Jr and a lot of Tube Screamer and OCD etc etc but wasn't happy - either my cleans were sweet but break up was to all or nothing or boxy tone or - on the 68 Princetons - build quality was brutal This HR Deluxe just ticked every box for my PRS P22, p90 guitar, and strat. I also find the tone quite round - both clean and drive channels - that's what I was seeking so if you prefer chimier or treblier look at the 65 reissues. Also I like drive that's just the edge of breakup so for me no more pedals needed which is sweet
