You love Thunderbirds, or you don't. They are head heavy, a bit honky, BIG, and a one trick pony. They are also as cool as a bass can come. You can't help but feeling your inner rebel coming out. You can't deny- the thing thunders, and screams ROCK. It also, over fifty years later, ALWAYS turns heads. Epiphone has been making 'birds for many years, I think there's four versions out now. This one is closest to being a real bird, and is their best so far. Beautiful build, great pickups, and great hardware. The finish work, and fret job are top notch. Don't judge the sound til you get the horrible cheap strings off it, and replaced by your favorites. My magic hard rock sound- Monster bi-amped GK rig, Cobalt flatwound strings, compressor on, and both volumes, and the tune full out. STAND BACK!
